Guidelines and Policy Briefs

Between 2022 and 2025, EuMIGS was awarded an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership grant. As part of the Erasmus+ co-funded project, and drawing on the network’s extensive experience of fostering sustainable structures for international student and teaching mobility, EuMIGS developed its own guidelines. These guidelines are intended for anyone interested in building a similar network or cooperation between higher education institutions and their master programmes.

Still as part of the Erasmus+ project, former EuMIGS Double Degree student Jocelyn Brown developed the following policy brief based on her 2025 master thesis. The policy brief is primarily directed at higher education institutions, but it is also relevant for local and national policymakers. It emphasizes that current developments in migration politics affect international students, as well as the institutions for which enabling transnational mobility and exchange lies at the core of their educational mission. It also makes recommendations on how to support international students.
